ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019 Match 11 Pakistan Vs Sri Lanka

Match Report: Pakistani 1st against Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka arrived in the United Arab Emirates in the context of a 9-0 victory for India in all formats. They were supposed to be mere opponents for a Pakistani team that has been playing its home series in the UAE since 2009 and in the UAE, especially Abu Dhabi is considered a fortress of Pakistani cricket. In nine previous test matches, Pakistan had won five wins and four draws at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. An injured Sri Lankan team should pose no threat. But Pakistan was itself in a transition phase after losing its two main hunters, Misbah and Younis, to retirement.

Chandimal won the draw for Sri Lanka and did not hesitate to hit first. Pakistan made a big mistake playing Yasir Shah as their only spinner and playing with 3 pacers. On the contrary, Sri Lanka entered with 3 spinners. Pakistan handed a test cap to Haris Sohail and Shan Masood and Sami Aslam made their comeback.

Pakistan started positively while Sri Lanka was reduced to 61-3 in the first round. But Karunaratne and Chandimal put 100 for the 4th wicket and Karunaratne had the bad luck to be eliminated on 93. But Chandimal found a new partner in Dickwella when he concluded a partnership of 134 points for the 5th wicket. Chandimal continued even if he lost partners on the other side and ended with 155 * while Sri Lanka was defeated at 419. Abbas and Yasir Shah took 3 wickets each and Hassan Ali contributed with 2 wickets. checkout ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019 Match 11 Pakistan Vs Sri Lanka
Match 11 Pakistan vs Sri Lanka
The first Pakistanis started well while Shan Masood and Sami Aslam marked their half-century in two. But both fell quickly, 114-0 becoming 116-2. Asad and Azhar, the Pakistani heirs of Misbah and Younis, arrived. They did well for a while, but Asad Shafiq gave up his wicket at 39. When he started, he should have succeeded, as Younis and Misbah have often done, but a lack of concentration cost him his ticket. Babar Azam arrived next, but his curious case continues to confuse many people, an average of over 50 years in the ODI and T20 tests, but only 27 on average in the tests. Babar was then fired for the last time on the third day. The fourth day started with the arrival of new player Haris Sohail in Azhar Ali. Azhar soon died for a well done 85 and Sarfraz did not contribute much either as Haris found himself beating his tail. He was calm and put 106 for the last four wickets while Pakistan's innings dropped to 422, giving Pakistan a slight lead of 3 points. For Sri Lanka, Herath was the chief executioner while picking up a 5-wicket gantry.
Sri Lanka found itself at risk of strains on the fourth day, while they were 61-4 with Haris Sohail and Asad Shafiq unexpectedly to have a wicket each. The fifth day gave no relief to the Lankans, while Yasir Shah exercised his magical powers to leave them in uncertainty at 101-8. Some catches and some face-offs meant that Sri Lanka fell to 138, making Pakistan a fairly easy target of 136 points. Yasir Shah was the choice of bowlers with 5 wickets and Abbas also has 2 wickets too while he cast a great spell on day 5 completing Yasir Shah on the other end
Against Rangana Herath, Pakistan's old enemy on a fifth-round pitch with some uneven rebounds would have never been easy, but 136 is a goal that should always be achieved. Pakistan's openers came out and it was too obvious they were nervous. The negative mentality with which they started costs the match in Pakistan. Sami Aslam left for only 2 and Azhar Ali grabbed a duck. Shan Masood quickly followed with only 7, and then began a procession. The Pakistani players were probably saying "you chal main hand", nobody can occupy the fold long enough to put pressure on Herath and his co-leaders. Only Haris Sohail resisted well, but even his 34 points did not allow Pakistan to go home, they were dismissed for a meager total of 114, Sri Lanka winning by 21 points. Herath again took six wickets while he was making his career count at 400 and became the first man in history to win 100 wickets against Pakistan.
